Number 34 in the world, 20-year-old Raonic has become the highest ranked Canadian male ever, having climbed 122 places since the beginning of the year. Following an impressive performance in the Australian Open, Raonic won the first title of his career at the SAP Open in San Jose, California, and continued his exceptional run of form the following week by reaching the final of the Regions Morgan Keegan Championship, losing to fellow SAP ambassador Roddick in a thrilling three-set final.
"It has been a dream year for me so far and I am delighted to become an SAP ambassador," said Raonic. "Having qualified for the main draw of the Australian Open gave me great confidence, which I took into the SAP Open and it was fantastic to get my first tournament win. I am now looking to continue this form and climb further up the rankings.
