BOSTON, March 16, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Life just got brighter for organizations that value the critical role that premium paper plays in successful brand marketing.
Sappi North America, a leading producer and supplier of diversified paper and packaging products, today announced it has increased the brightness of its Opus Sheet coated paper line to 94 bright, enhancing a versatile brand portfolio prized for its whiteness, shade consistency, stiffness and lower fluorescence.
"The increased brightness for Opus Sheets demonstrates Sappi's continued commitment to deliver brilliant brand experiences," said Jennifer Miller, executive vice-president of the coated business and chief sustainability officer, Sappi North America. "Opus is the most versatile line of premium coated paper in the market. The brighter Opus is in response to the needs of integrated marketers who want a competitive advantage and who take their brands and their reputation seriously."
The new brighter paper is available in the market now and strengthens Sappi's already formidable and functional Opus Sheet line, comprised of Opus, Opus PS and Opus DX digital. Opus papers are known as the professional's choice for high quality printing, recognized for consistent performance and unique color rendering capabilities across the broadest range of weights, sizes and finishes.
The heft and stiffness of Opus papers deliver a higher quality feel than any competitive grade at the same basis weight, and can handle tough pressroom conditions. They are optically engineered to reproduce more colors, making it easier to match press sheets to color proofs. Made with 100 percent renewable energy, Opus papers are environmentally responsible products featuring FSC® and SFI® Chain of Custody certification and Lacey Act compliance.
By increasing the brightness of Opus Sheets from 92 to 94 bright, Sappi further differentiates its visually distinct coated fine paper offerings, with McCoy papers at 96 bright and Flo Sheet papers at 88 bright.
