Saraiva Appoints Michel Jacques Levy as Executive Director of Saraiva Group
SAO PAULO, Oct. 21, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Saraiva [BM&FBovespa: SLED3; SLED4] today announced the appointment of Michel Jacques Levy as Saraiva's Managing Director, effective on November 4, 2013. Mr. Levy will share the management and leadership of the company with Mr. Jorge Saraiva Neto, Chief Executive Officer.

Michel Jacques Levy, earned a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from Universidade de Sao Paulo, and a master's degree from Stanford University (USA), Levy has broad experience in the technology and telecommunications industries. In the 80s, he founded and ran the CompuMarketing Group, which operated in the IT and software distribution areas. He served as the general manager of Promon Engenharia, operations officer of BCP Telecomunicacões, and general manager of the paging company of Motorola in Brazil. Before being appointed CEO of Microsoft Brazil in October 2006, Levy held the position of COO of TIM, one of Brazil's largest mobile phone operators.
