SBA Opens Disaster Loan Outreach Centers in Connecticut
ATLANTA, Dec. 5, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The U.S. Small Business Administration announced the opening of a Disaster Loan Outreach Center (DLOC) in East Haven, CT today, Dec. 5 at 9 a.m. and the opening of another Center in Groton, CT tomorrow, Dec. 6 at 9 a.m. These Centers provide one-on-one assistance to homeowners, renters and business owners seeking disaster assistance for losses caused by Hurricane Sandy.

"Survivors who receive a SBA disaster loan application should submit it as soon as possible to receive consideration for a low-interest loan to help with their recovery," said Frank Skaggs, director of SBA Field Operations Center East. "SBA's Customer Service Representatives will be on hand at the Centers to issue loan applications, and assist survivors with completing their applications," Skaggs added.
Locations of the Disaster Loan Outreach Centers are indicated below and will remain open until further notice:

To be considered for all forms of disaster assistance, applicants should register online at www.DisasterAssistance.gov or by mobile device at m.fema.gov. If online or mobile access is unavailable, applicants should call the FEMA toll-free Helpline at 800-621-3362. Those who use 711-Relay or Video Relay Services should call 800-621-3362. Additional details on the locations of Disaster Recovery Centers and the loan application process can be obtained by calling the SBA Customer Service Center at 800-659-2955 (800-877-8339 for the deaf and hard-of-hearing) or by sending an e-mail to disastercustomerservice@sba.gov.
The filing deadline to return applications for physical property damage is December 31, 2012. The deadline to return economic injury applications is July 31, 2013.
