SC&H Group Opens Florida Office to Be Led by Newest Principal Scott Tyler

BALTIMORE, Aug. 21, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- CPA and management consulting firm SC&H Group, LLC, announced today that Scott Tyler has joined the firm as a Principal in its State and Local Tax Practice in the firm's recently opened Tampa, Florida office.

Scott brings nearly 20 years of national experience in state and local tax, with a focus on property tax. Prior to joining SC&H, Scott led Crowe Horwath 's southeast property tax practice, and was the national practice leader for personal property. Scott has also held State and Local Tax leadership roles at General Electric and Ernst & Young. In his capacity with SC&H, Scott will continue to be an advisor to privately held Fortune 100 companies on state and local tax matters, while contributing to SC&H's national reach.

Scott is a graduate of University of Florida with a degree in Business Administration with majors in both Finance and Economics. He is credentialed as a Certified Member of the Institute (CMI) - Property Tax from Institute for Professionals in Taxation (IPT), and is an active member of organizations including – International Association of Assessing Officers – Florida Chapter (FCIAAO), Florida Association of Property Tax Professionals (FAPTP), and the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC). Scott frequently lectures on property tax issues, has been nationally published in leading tax and news periodicals, and is a guest faculty member for tax training organizations.
