Scott L. Fordham Appointed President of Acclaim Energy

HOUSTON, Jan. 20, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Houston-based Acclaim Energy (acclaimenergy.com) today announced the appointment of Scott L. Fordham as president.

During his career, Fordham has been associated with a number of dynamic business enterprises and entrepreneurial ventures. He has been a member of Acclaim Energy's senior management team over the past year and has served on the company's board of directors for more than two years.

Prior to joining Acclaim Energy, Fordham served as CEO and a member of the board of directors of Guard 1 Services, leading the first in the industry to implement and continually evolve an electronic data-gathering and storage tool in the safety and security space of the onshore energy industry. Prior to Guard 1, Fordham served as president, board member and CEO of Champion Energy Services, growing the company from a small, relatively unknown retail electricity provider to one of the top 10 providers in the United States. Among Fordham's many accomplishments during his tenure at Champion Energy, he lead the company to its ranking as "Highest in Residential Customer Satisfaction with Retail Electric Services," according to the J.D. Power and Associates 2010-2013 Texas Residential Retail Electric Provider Customer Satisfaction Study™, making it the first retail electricity provider in Texas to receive the award four consecutive years.

Earlier in his career, Fordham co-founded and served as CEO, president and chairman of the board of NetVersant Solutions, a multi-location provider of network infrastructure solutions, and spearheaded the acquisition and integration of 20 companies in the converging world of voice, video and data. He also served as executive vice president-operations of publicly traded Consolidated Graphics, Inc., where he was intricately involved in the day-to-day operations and supervision of numerous operating units across the country, as well as president of Chas. P. Young Co., a financial printer and wholly owned subsidiary of the company.

A certified public accountant, Fordham's career began at Arthur Andersen LLP where he held various positions, most recently as senior manager of the firm's audit practice.
