Season Three of AARP's Inside E Street Debuts on RLTV the Week of February 13, Weekdays at 6:30 pm
Non-partisan Political Talk Show Tackles Issues Critical To Those 50+
BALTIMORE, Feb. 14, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- RLTV, the only cable network that provides consumers with information and entertainment to help Redefine Life after 50, today announced that season three of AARP's non-partisan political talk show, Inside E Street, will premiere the week of February 13, weekdays at 6:30 pm on RLTV.
An informative half-hour news show, Inside E Street delves into the issues behind the headlines affecting boomers and seniors, covering the latest developments in healthcare, finance and retirement. Its host, Lark McCarthy, is a former White House Correspondent for ABC News and served as the news anchor for Washington, D.C.'s FOX affiliate for 17 years.
In the new season of Inside E Street, McCarthy and her team of veteran news producers tackle issues such as Medicare, Social Security, managing health records online, boomers as consumers, having babies after 50, encore careers and elder abuse. They provide viewers with up-to-date news and stories on topics critical to the demographic. Featured guests include best-selling authors, award-winning researchers, scientists and physicians positioned to advise on the issues most important to boomers and seniors today.
"Lark has spent virtually her entire career in Washington, D.C. covering politics and news," said Elliot Jacobson, Senior VP Programming and Production, RLTV. "She draws on that experience to bring the discussion of major current events and issues most pertinent to those 50-plus to the RLTV audience. We are thrilled to have her framing these important issues for us."
"We take a topic that most news shows spend 90 seconds on, and go much deeper into the issue," said Inside E Street's executive producer Margee Finn-Frame. "We gear our coverage of topics in a way that affects every age, and is of potential interest to every member of a family. Issues like college kids moving back into their parents' home, or public policy issues related to hoarding – what are the implications of these things in the short and long-term? Inside E Street has immediate relevance and every week we want to leave viewers with a sense of empowerment."
Season three of Inside E Street premieres the week of February 13, weekdays at 6:30 pm on RLTV.
