Seattle IT Executive Named Finalist in 2010 American Business Awards

SEATTLE, May 19 /PRNewswire/ -- JP Zarate, Principal Executive at Z7 Networks in Seattle, WA is named IT Executive of the Year Finalist for the 2010 American Business Awards.

The American Business Awards are the nation's premier and most prestigious business awards program. This year's Stevie Award winners will be announced during the annual gala on Monday, June 21 at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York City. More than six hundred executives from across the U.S.A. are expected to attend. The ceremonies will be broadcast on radio nationwide by the Business TalkRadio Network.

Over 2,700 entries from organizations of all sizes and in virtually every industry were submitted for consideration in more than 40 categories. As an award finalist, JP Zarate will be competing in the Information Technology category for IT Executive of the Year.

JP Zarate's accomplishments of the past year include the executive oversight in all aspects of the IT systems migration for Washington Mutual, Inc. throughout their highly publicized 2009 transitions and corporate restructuring. Z7 continues to manage all day-to-day IT systems and sustainment operations for WMI. Further, in the midst of a down economy, Z7 continued their annual giving campaign in support of one of the state's most recognized non-profit organizations, Washington CASH. The company assisted the non-profit in developing new offices to serve low-income individuals looking to start small businesses in the community.

Under Zarate's direction, 2009 witnessed Z7 expand software operations internationally by opening a secondary application development office overseas. The primary objective for this new office is to evolve Z7's business cloud computing offering, highlighted by the release of IS Compass Essentials.
