Seattle Seahawk, Palmdale Native DeShawn Shead Visits Northrop Grumman's Aircraft Integration Center of Excellence
PALMDALE, Calif., July 3, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Seattle Seahawk football player DeShawn Shead spoke to intern students, military personnel and employees about the value of top performance during a visit to Northrop Grumman Corporation's (NYSE: NOC) Palmdale Aircraft Integration Center of Excellence.

Shead was part of the Seahawks' 43-8 victory over the Denver Broncos in Super Bowl XLVIII, making him the first Palmdale native to play on a Super Bowl-winning team. He was also a two-time All-Conference defensive back and an All-Conference wide receiver at Highland High School.
"I'm from the Antelope Valley, and it is a hub for the aerospace and defense industry," said Shead. "I have always had a deep appreciation for the work performed by Northrop Grumman in their efforts to keep the men and women of our nation's military safe."
Employees had the opportunity to meet the football star, while students had their photos taken with the hometown hero.
