CLEVELAND, Sept. 1, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- SecureView, LLC, the nation's leading supplier of clearboarding polycarbonate material, has announced that it is contributing $100,000 to the American Red Cross for Hurricane Harvey relief. Robert Klein, Founder and Chairman of SecureView and its advocacy arm, Community Blight Solutions, has firsthand experience of destruction and aftermath from natural disasters. For the past 30 years, Klein's businesses have contributed substantially in the wake of disasters, including Hurricanes Katrina, Sandy, and Andrew.
"This is a crucial moment," said Klein, specifically referring to the destroyed neighborhoods and the nearly 400,000 homes impacted. "The relief efforts will go on for years, and this is the beginning of our contributions. Through experience and our business, we are uniquely positioned to help people."
Additionally, SecureView has reached out to the City of Houston, as well as the National Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster through FEMA to effectively donate SecureView product. In the post-disaster environment, the transparent SecureView board-up product will prevent vandalism and looting, and at the same time decrease water damage and mold growth.
"We are proud to join the multitude of corporations and individuals giving, and encourage everyone to do what they can to support the coming recovery effort," Klein said. "It is critical that the mortgage, construction, and property preservation industry stays united during this time of incredible loss. Our thoughts and prayers are continually with the people of the Gulf Coast impacted by this disaster – and hope that collectively we can all help."
Ed Delgado, President & CEO of the Five Star Institute, a mortgage industry trade organization, said "[Robert's] support of Red Cross relief efforts in areas devastated by Hurricane Harvey represent the good in our industry, and others should be inspired by this generosity and level of care."
SecureView encourages its partners and industry colleagues to contribute to emergency relief and industry recovery organizations.
