Security Hybrid SaaS Pioneer EiQ Networks Appoints Technology Veteran Kim Ann King as Vice President of Marketing

BOSTON, Sept. 15, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- EiQ Networks, a pioneer in security hybrid SaaS and continuous security intelligence solutions, today announced the appointment of Kim Ann King to a newly created role of Vice President of Marketing, responsible for EiQ's global marketing efforts. King reports to the Chairman, President, and CEO of EiQ Networks, Vijay Basani, as a member of the executive team.
A veteran of several successful Boston technology start-ups, Kim will oversee the company's marketing strategy in order to capitalize on new opportunities and drive revenue growth. She brings three decades of marketing leadership experience and a proven track record of building high-tech B2B brands. She was previously the Chief Marketing Officer of SiteSpect, a web and mobile optimization solutions provider, where she was responsible for brand awareness, demand generation, and organizational enablement initiatives that drove customer acquisition and retention. As SiteSpect's CMO, she helped increase both lead volume and revenue by more than 800 percent.

Prior to SiteSpect, Kim served as the Director of Marketing Communications at Bit9, a leader in endpoint security software, where her high-impact, cost-effective marketing initiatives launched the company in 2005. During her tenure at Bit9, Kim provided creative and strategic direction to marketing programs, thought leadership campaigns, and product launches that consistently created visibility and credibility, marketplace differentiation, and customer acquisition. Previously, she worked as Senior Communications Manager at Akamai Technologies, helping to launch the company in 1999. At Akamai, Kim was instrumental in creating global brand awareness in advance of Akamai's IPO, one of the most successful on Nasdaq in 1999. Prior to that, Kim managed public relations for e-commerce pioneer Open Market. An award-winning marketer, King is also the author of The Complete Guide to B2B Marketing: New Tactics, Tools, and Techniques to Compete in the Digital Economy, published by Pearson Financial Time Press in May 2015.
