In this role, Valasek will be responsible for performing groundbreaking research to benefit the information security community.

Valasek, previously with IBM X-Force's Advance Research and Development team, specializes in vulnerability analysis and exploitation. During this week's Black Hat Las Vegas 2010 Conference, Valasek will be presenting a paper titled, "Understanding the Low-Fragmentation Heap: From Allocation to Exploitation". He also is the current organizer of SummerCon, one of the nation's oldest hacker conferences.
