Sedgwick names Jay Potter chief financial officer

MEMPHIS, Tenn., Sept. 6, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Sedgwick Claims Management Services, Inc. (Sedgwick) announced today that W. Jay Potter will join the company as chief financial officer, treasurer, and a member of the executive committee, effective September 10, 2012.

Potter brings to Sedgwick nearly 30 years of experience in finance and accounting, operations management, risk management, and business development and expansion.  He most recently served as CFO of Masco Cabinetry, a division of the Masco Corporation.  Potter has also served in financial leadership roles for premier corporations including EFW Inc., St. Jude Medical, and AlliedSignal.

He holds both a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting and a Master of Business Administration degree from Indiana University.  Potter is a Certified Public Accountant and earned the Six Sigma Green Belt designation.
