Sedona Mago Retreat Welcomes Best-Selling Authors, Dr. Eben Alexander and Julia Cameron
SEDONA, Ariz., Sept. 19, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Sedona Mago Retreat: Two best-selling authors, Dr. Eben Alexander, and Julia Cameron, will be presenting workshops this autumn at Sedona Mago Retreat—a Center for Spiritual Awakening.
Julia Cameron's Retreat, Creativity and Divinity—Dancing Partners, will be held Sept 30 – Oct 2, 2016. Cameron has been an active artist for over three decades. She is best known for The Artist's Way, a book that has helped millions of people around the word to discover—and recover—their creativity. Cameron is also a novelist, playwright, songwriter and poet.
This is a repeat performance for Cameron; last year she led The Artist's Way Retreat at Sedona Mago Retreat. This year's retreat will take attendees even deeper as Cameron focuses on the connection between Creativity and Divinity.
She says, "We often speak of God as the Creator without realizing that creator is another word for artist."
On the weekend of October 7 – 9, Dr. Eben Alexander, author of the best-selling book, Proof of Heaven: A Neurosurgeon's Journey into the Afterlife, will be presenting Beyond Illusion: Reality on Both Sides of the Veil. He will be joined by Karen Newell, founder of Sacred Acoustics, and Gary Schwartz, PhD., a professor at the University of Arizona and director of its Laboratory for Advances in Consciousness and Health. These intrepid explorers will expand the consciousness of attendees, forever changing their perceptions of life and death.
In 2008, Dr. Eben Alexander spent seven days in a coma due to bacterial meningitis. While in a coma, with his brain shut down, he experienced a spectacular odyssey to realms beyond our known physical universe—an ultra-real journey that ran counter to all conventional neuro-scientific views about the brain, mind and consciousness. Following his life-changing near-death experience (NDE), Eben sought a means to return to those realms. Sound provided a crucial engine for traversing spiritual dimensions and after trying many types of meditation following his NDE, he found that sound meditation provides a powerful catalyst for expanding consciousness.
