Seeed Introduces New Cost-Effective Development Kit Powered by the Samsung ARTIK™ IoT Platform

SHENZHEN, China, March 1, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Seeed, the IoT hardware enabler which empowers innovators to create new products, today announced Eagleye 530s, a high-performance, pre-tested, cost-effective and production-ready development kit for the Samsung ARTIK™ IoT platform. Eagleye 530s is pin-compatible with many "maker" hardware accessories, further expanding options for enterprise developers looking to create feature-rich proof-of-concepts (PoC) or production-ready products. Eagleye 530s incorporates the Samsung ARTIK™ 530s, a 1GB system-on-module (SoM) on a custom credit card size board design at an MSRP of USD $79.

Samsung ARTIK™ is a pre-integrated IoT platform consisting of enterprise-grade modules, cloud services, and end-to-end security for the design and development of robust IoT solutions. Eagleye 530s allows Samsung ARTIK™ developers to easily tap into the extensive "maker" accessories marketplace and prototype and build with off-the-shelf sensors, voice recognition, relays, GPS, cellular connectivity, and more.

Eagleye 530s is based on the ARTIK 530s 1GB SoM which is a Quad Core Cortex® A9 running @ 1.2 GHz with 4 GB Flash memory, hardware-based security features, and Linux OS (Ubuntu). Eagleye 530s including 40 pin GPIO and accessory interface to provide support for Micro SD, Ethernet 10/100/1000, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth BLE 4.2 802.15.4, and ZigBee/Thread. Eagleye 530s supports full HDMI, MIPI camera interface, video, and audio media.

Eagleye 530s will be available soon through Seeed worldwide distribution partners. Estimated ship date at end of April 2018.
