Selective Insurance Group Announces Officer Appointments
BRANCHVILLE, N.J., Nov. 11, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Selective Insurance Group, Inc. (NASDAQ: SIGI), announced the following appointments by its subsidiary, Selective Insurance Company of America.
Martin Hollander (Hoboken, NJ) to senior vice president, chief audit executive. Mr. Hollander joined Selective in September 2014. Previously, he was vice president, Internal Audit at QBE North America. Mr. Hollander earned an M.S. in Business Economics and Auditing from the Copenhagen Business School in Copenhagen, Denmark.
Michael Baisley (Avon, CT) to vice president, Investments. Mr. Baisley joined Selective in November 2010 as assistant portfolio manager. In his prior experience he worked as a consultant to private equity firms and started his career with Prudential Financial, Inc. Mr. Baisley earned a B.S. in Business Administration from Pepperdine University in Malibu, CA and an M.B.A from the MIT Sloan School of Management in Cambridge, MA. He holds the designation of Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst.
Shannon Backus (Lincolnton, NC) to assistant vice president, regional safety operations manager. Mr. Backus joined Selective in August 2014 after positions at Travelers Insurance and Key Risk Insurance Company. Mr. Backus attended Keene State College in Keene, NH; holds an Associate in Risk Management designation; and is a Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter candidate. He is also a member of the American Society of Safety Engineers.
Robert England (Bushkill, PA) to assistant vice president, Enterprise Infrastructure & Security Architecture. Mr. England joined Selective in August 2014. Previously, he was a senior IT manager at LSI, an Avago Technologies corporation. Mr. England earned a B.S. in Technical Management from DeVry University in Fort Washington, PA.
John Lacy (Sarasota, FL) to assistant vice president, Workers Compensation Line of Business manager. Originally an agency management specialist with Selective in the 1990s, Mr. Lacy rejoined Selective in October 2014. In the interim, he was a group benefits division leader for Bouchard Insurance. Mr. Lacy earned a B.S. in Business Administration from The Citadel in Charleston, SC. He holds designations as a Certified Insurance Counselor and a Certified Risk Manager, and is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management.
Harikrishna Raghumandala (Manchester, CT) to assistant vice president, IT Enterprise Data Architecture. Mr. Raghumandala joined Selective in September 2014. Previously, he was a solution manager for Tata Consultancy Services at The Hartford. Mr. Raghumandala earned a Bachelor of Engineering from Andhra University in India.
Martine Whitehurst (Richmond, VA) to assistant vice president, regional claims manager. Ms. Whitehurst joined Selective in August 2014. Previously, she was an auto field product line manager at Travelers Insurance. Ms. Whitehurst earned a B.S. in Business Administration from Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, VA and an M.B.A. from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, VA. She holds several designations including Senior Claim Law Associate, Casualty Claims Law Associate, Workers Compensation Law Associate and Automobile Claims Law Associate.
