WALLINGFORD, Conn., Feb 7, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- The Academy Di Capelli School of Cosmetology has received special recognition and an award by Senator Richard Blumenthal for exhibiting excellence in entrepreneurship and business planning.  Bradford Kelley, president of this multi-award winning school, participated in workshops and planning sessions under the auspices of the Small Business Development Center (SBDC).  Upon completion, the Central Connecticut State University hosted the SBDC Achiever's Breakfast where Bradford Kelley and 9 other innovative entrepreneurs were recognized for their business success under this project. The SBDC is comprised of a team of business owners encompassing over 100 years of experience working with small businesses. The award received by the Academy Di Capelli and fellow small business owners, was to commemorate innovative and effective approaches in their areas of business.

Another award recently given to the Academy of Di Capelli was Celebration Media's "Talk of the Town Award" which is rewarded to businesses that provide Excellence in Customer Care and Customer Satisfaction.  Award recipients were selected based on independent customer reviews collected from surveys, blogs, social media sites, and others. Academy Di Capelli was honored for being at the top of its field.         

And for the third year in a row the school, the U.S. Commerce Association has awarded the Academy the "2011 Best of Quinnipiac Valley Award" as an Accredited Institution for Higher Education. Another award was given for its specialization in Cosmetology Education.
