Senior Energy Executive Karl W. Miller Issues Vote of No Confidence in Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid of Nevada
NEW YORK, Sept. 13 /PRNewswire/ -- Leading Independent and Senior Energy Executive Karl W. Miller, through his advisors VBCC, issued a vote of no confidence in Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid of Nevada today.
Mr. Miller's vote of no confidence is based upon Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid's inability and failure to execute the US National Energy Plan legislation critical to the nation's economic recovery and the development of substantial material jobs for Americans.
As an Independent, Mr. Miller has a long-standing history of bi-partisanship on major policy issues. Mr. Miller is active in the national political arena, has taken a leadership role regarding US Energy Policy and endorsed the movement for sustainable and economic renewable energy development in the United States which is cost-effective and does not rely upon subsidies in conjunction with utilization of natural gas and other clean fuels.
Mr. Miller believes that irrespective of whether Senator Harry Reid wins re-election in the State of Nevada to the US Senate and irrespective of political party affiliation, his credibility and ability to legislate and execute US National Energy Policy in the current political and economic environment have been permanently impaired by prior failures to execute.
The US Energy Industry is complex, capital-intensive and requires a comprehensive set of clear environmental and regulatory guidelines to allow energy producers and investors to deploy the significant amounts of capital required for long lead time and critical energy infrastructure projects. Mr. Miller believes that Senator Harry Reid has not demonstrated the comprehensive grip required on the complex nature of the US Energy Industry.
