Senior Home Care's Vero Beach Office Obtains Medicare Certification as Home Health Agency
CLEARWATER, Fla., July 10, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Senior Home Care, Inc. announced today that the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) has approved and issued Medicare certification for its home health agency located at 787 37th Street in Vero Beach, Fla.
Senior Home Care's Vero Beach agency provides in-home clinical care, including skilled nursing, physical, occupational and speech therapy, home health aide and medical social services, in the comfort of patients' homes or assisted/independent living facilities.
"We are pleased to expand Senior Home Care's reach in Central and South Florida, where the company has been part of the health care community for 20 years," said Lynn Wilson, Senior Home Care's Regional Vice President of Sales and Operations for Florida.
"The staff is an experienced team with a wide range of clinical experience and long-standing relationships in the local medical community," she explained. "They coordinate with our nearby Port St. Lucie and Palm Beach locations, working closely with doctors, hospitals and other providers to meet patients' needs as they move from acute to post-acute care settings, including the home."
The Vero Beach agency opened in April 2012, providing home health care on a limited basis while awaiting Medicare certification from CMS. A Medicare-certified agency must meet strict federal requirements for patient care and management in order to qualify to provide Medicare home health services. Now certified and assigned a Medicare provider number, the office will be included on Home Health Compare (see medicare.gov), where CMS publicly reports data on the quality of care provided by Medicare-certified home health agencies throughout the nation.
Senior Home Care operates 29 additional branch locations in Florida, where the company is headquartered.
