SEATTLE, Aug. 29, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Serum, a data-driven healthcare marketing agency, has named Robert Grammatica to lead the agency as executive vice president, managing director.
Grammatica brings a deep background devoted to developing and building new healthcare marketing capabilities, driving transformational thinking and leading teams to a track record of success.
Prior to joining Serum, Grammatica held dual roles at RAPP Worldwide as global chief healthcare officer and managing director of the flagship New York office. Under his leadership, healthcare became one of the largest verticals in their global network. He previously built successful multichannel healthcare marketing practices at Y&R Advertising, Wunderman NY and Chapman Direct Advertising. His experience spans health insurance, biotech, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, care coordination and consumer healthcare.
"We're thrilled to have Robert join us to lead the Serum agency," said Spyro Kourtis, CEO of HackerAgency. "Robert's deep expertise in the healthcare space and his passion for innovation and ability to create holistic consumer stories make him the natural choice to lead the business." Grammatica is replacing Tom Reid, former VP, Serum, who is remaining with the agency in a strategic advisory role.
Over the years, Grammatica's teams have pioneered new digital marketing and consumer engagement models for clients including Pfizer, Humana, Merck, GSK, Johnson&Johnson and Gilead, among others. Notable industry firsts include the first social media effort and the first direct-to-consumer ecommerce sales in the pharmaceutical category.
Most recently, Grammatica launched My Elder Advocate, the first eldercare advocacy and care navigation franchise operation in the U.S. Under his leadership, My Elder Advocate partnered with hospitals and top geriatric care practices to improve patient outcomes and reduce hospital readmissions.
"The entire healthcare category is changing rapidly, with more data, greater precision and better patient outcomes at the core," said Grammatica. "Serum has all of the required elements to play a major role in this new world."
