Fully equipped with bike stows, the ADA accessible shuttle will run every hour between the hours of 7 a.m. and 6 p.m., Monday to Friday, excluding holidays, and accommodate up to 20 passengers. In addition to students, anyone commuting to shopping centers or other locations in close proximity to the SFEC campus, are encouraged to use the SFEC Davie Campus Express.
"With five of Florida's top learning institutions all conveniently located in one square mile, this shuttle service will offer students and community members alternate options to get to and from the campus," stated Kim Moore, Chair of the SFEC. "Alternate modes of transportation are attractive to students, especially those who choose to live car free."
The South Florida Education Center (SFEC) is comprised of five major educational institutions; Broward College, Florida Atlantic University, McFatter Technical College & Technical High School, Nova Southeastern University, and the University of Florida, all located on one square mile campus in the Town of Davie. Recognizing that the campuses generate a lot of traffic in Broward County, the members formed the South Florida Education Center Transportation Management Association (SFEC TMA) in an effort to help manage and reduce congestion.
