Shijiazhuang Enhui Children's Rehabilitation Center Opens Business on International Children's Day
SHIJIAZHUANG, China, June 1, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- On June 1, 2015, Enhui Children's Rehabilitation Center was officially opened in Yuhua District, Shijiazhuang, Hebei Province, and a special charity performance was held to celebrate the International Children's Day at the same time. Many of the children participating in the performance are patients receiving treatment in Enhui Children's Rehabilitation Center.
Established in 2009, Enhui Children's Rehabilitation Center is a professional medical institution specializing in cerebral palsy and autism therapy for children. It started business in Shijiazhuang and Xinji City in succession. More than 600 patients have come to the Center for treatment so far.
On the site of the performance sat the mother of a 3-year-old boy named Xiaowen (alias), and she is watching Xiaowen walking toward her; happiness brims over her face. Just one year ago, Xiaowen couldn't even walk.
One year ago, Xiaowen's mother took him to receive treatment in a local children's hospital, but no obvious effect could be seen; such despair added grey hair in her forelock, she looked like an old woman.
One day on a bus, when they were travelling helplessly across the city, the signboard of Enhui Children's Rehabilitation Center caught her eyes. She sensed, somehow, the mysterious serendipity just a breath away. Serendipity, in the eyes of the Chinese, is a most trustful god of luck.
The mother pleaded the driver to stop, running into Enhui Children's Rehabilitation Center with Xiaowen in her arms.
Two weeks later, the child could stand up!
"My child can feel the strength in his legs!" said the mother. Not only Xiaowen feels strength, his parents and grandparents feel strength in themselves too. "Enhui does perfect work with good conscience." Xiaowen's mother would tell anyone she meets from then on.
She interprets the "good conscience" with five key words: attentiveness, patience, love, perseverance and honesty.
Now, whenever Xiaowen gets to his feet, the "teachers" would support him with hands for muscular strength training. The "teachers" in Enhui Children's Rehabilitation Center -- despite all wearing doctor's white gown, no one calls them doctor, they call them "teachers" instead. "Heaven, Earth, Lord, Parents and Teachers", these are the most respectful in the eyes of the Chinese, and a "teacher" is much higher in position than a doctor.
"Teacher Li" is the founder of Enhui Children's Rehabilitation Center. She often takes alternate visits between Xinji and Shijiazhuang City. In Xinji, she has another children's rehabilitation center with the same name.
Compared to Shijiazhuang, Xinji is a place with poorer economic conditions.
On May 25, 2015, Li Xiaobing, a stepfather of a 5-year-old suffering from cerebral palsy, sold only three omelets in Xinji. This is all the income he earned for the whole day. Still, this is not the most frustrating day; sometimes, he could only sell one.
No one knows he also has a totally blind wife at home, a humble place he rented. In order to look after his child, this man is faced with very tough choices - either to find another job to make both ends meet, or still carry on in this way to nurse the child.
He chose to cure the baby. He wants that his child can walk his first step in life.
Everyday, he will take the child to Enhui Children's Rehabilitation Center in Xinji, Hebei Province to receive rehabilitation training. There are still more than ten children with cerebral palsy or autism here receiving rehabilitation training on a daily basis.
With the delicate cultural creativity by the media consultant of Enhui Children's Rehabilitation Center -- Kuafoul (Beijing) Children's Cultural and Creative Co., Ltd., the walls of Enhui Rehabilitation Center will be turned into an exhibition base for children's works of art after June 1st, while the over 2,000m2 space will become their home to ensure the children's happy growth; the ceiling above was painted into a Milky Way, as if a long river running quietly above the children.
As for Li Xiaobing, he will work as a cleaner and security guard in another Enhui Children's Rehabilitation Center in Xinji City, which will be opened soon with the same goal and creativity. In this way, he could look after his son and take him to receive daily recuperative therapy; in addition, he could also earn bread and feed his utterly blind wife.
Teacher Li's work brings beneficial to both her business and the public interest.
In Enhui Children's Rehabilitation Center, you will find top-notch professional therapeutic equipment, first-class specialized medical care personnel and the unique creative rehabilitation therapeutic milieu in China, But in Teacher Li's eyes, the real professionalism lies more in how much "professional conscience" you have, and the profession of Enhui Children's Rehabilitation Center is to provide service with good conscience.
