CHICAGO, Jan. 28, 2016 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce today announced that Jacques Panis, president of Detroit-based luxury lifestyle brand Shinola, will serve as the keynote speaker for The Exchange 2016 on April 6, 2016 at the Swissotel.
Shinola, which launched in Detroit only five years ago, has used its social mission to become one of the faces of the Motor City's revival. Panis' keynote presentation will be featured as part of an interactive panel discussion, themed "Social Impact Strong," focused on the importance of social issues and corporate responsibility programs for modern day business success. About 750 attendees and 100 exhibitors are expected to attend The Exchange 2016, the Chicagoland Chamber's annual tradeshow and networking event.
"Mission-driven businesses are transforming today's economic and civic landscape, impacting the success of both their communities and their bottom lines," said Theresa E. Mintle, president and CEO of the Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce. "Looking ahead, successful companies like Shinola that are committed to making a social impact will be the most competitive, attract the most talented workers, and ultimately experience better results."
With extensive experience in marketing, branding, and sales, Jacques Panis joined Shinola in 2010 to oversee product development and strategic direction before becoming its President in 2013. Prior to Shinola, Panis served as a founding member of Webosaurs and led the interactive division at Dallas-based animation studio Reel FX.
The full lineup of panelists for The Exchange 2016 keynote presentation will be announced soon. For more information about the event, please contact Kim Rodgers at firstname.lastname@example.org.
