Cyber Monday 2012 tops off record-breaking online shopping weekend
DENVER, Nov. 27, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- ShopAtHome.com, the largest coupon search engine that connects upwards of 12 million consumers each month to the best deals and cash back savings, today released its Cyber Monday 2012 Special Report, which offers data on traffic, consumer coupon usage and trends on the site.

With holiday sales beginning as early as Thanksgiving Day, Cyber Monday maintained its position atop the online shopping weekend, but barely. As a whole, the holiday shopping weekend set new records for sales and savings in 2012 – 2,966,096 consumers visited ShopAtHome.com between Thursday, November 22 and Monday, November 26. However, Cyber Monday traffic represented just under 25% of the 5-day shopping craze.
"While Cyber Monday savings are now an expected occurrence, this year we have seen that you don't have to wait until you're back at work to get the best online deals," said Marc Braunstein , founder and CEO, ShopAtHome.com. "Our report shows that, while shoppers are still a big fan of Cyber Monday shopping, they are spreading out their purchases across the entire holiday weekend, something we expect to continue in the years to come."

Morning Browsers, Midday Shoppers:
2011 and 2012 both saw some key behavior for Cyber Monday shoppers: The most popular browsing time was from 10 a.m. to noon ET. When was the credit card taken out for that final purchase? 1 p.m. ET.
Top Merchants:
In 2011, Black Friday and Cyber Monday both saw big numbers at Walmart, Best Buy, jcpenney, QVC and Dell. 2012 again saw big brands leading the way, the top merchants this year were:
