Silicon Valley Is Provided Transparent Access to Ukrainian IT Pool
"Cloudsource to Ukraine" presentation & reception will take place on July 23rd at Fairmont San Francisco
SAN FRANCISCO, July 1, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- On July 23rd, the Ukrainian Consulate General in San Francisco will present to the business leaders of San Francisco Bay Area the Strategic Initiative designed to make Ukraine a global leader of IT outsourcing, while helping the Silicon Valley businesses increase their profitability and scalabilty.
The presentation will start at 6PM in the Pavilion room at the renowned Fairmont hotel and concentrate on the advantages of tranparent cloudsourcing to Ukraine over traditional outsourcing to other destinations. The presentation will be followed by a reception in the Fairmont roof garden, with an open bar and food service.
"I am quite sure that the IT industry in Ukraine provides excellent opportunities to do a good business," said Pavlo Sheremeta, the Minister of Economic Development of the Ukraine. "This is one of the booming sectors in Ukraine due to strong education and the long standing culture of innovation and inventions that we have in the Ukraine."
"By using advantages of high-skilled IT-specialists, European mentality and modern approach in outsourcing - such as cloudsourcing - Ukraine gives unique opportunities both for business and government IT-solutions. We know that major U.S. companies complain of shortage of IT talents and compete fiercely for the 85,000 H-1B visas to import tech talents from the other counties. But now you can use top-level Ukrainian IT talents with great savings without hiring them locally," said the Ukrainian Ambassador to the USA Olexander Motsyk, unveiling this Initiative in Washington DC.
The SupportUkraine.us service will help U.S. companies and government agencies find qualified Ukrainian IT outsourcing resources. The initiative is supported by TransparentBusiness.com, a cloud-based solution which allows companies to track outsourced work in real time and retroactively. SoftServe, a leader of Ukrainian IT sector, is a sponsor of the event.
Ukrainian universities currently produce more than 30,000 IT graduates each year. The income tax to IT companies has been lowered to nominal 5%, which is unprecedentedly low for a major European country.
Companies which outsource to Ukraine include IBM, Dell, Google, Intel, Citibank, PepsyCo, Hewlett Packard, Motorola, Chrysler, Boeing, Reuters and many others from Fortune 500. In 2013, IT outsourcing helped add more than $1.5 billion to the Ukrainian economy; the government intends to increase this sector to over $40 billion per year.
