In a Silicon Valley career that spans more than 20 years, Gerwe has worked with startups and established tech sector leaders alike. She served as CMO at Proxio, a global marketing platform serving the real estate industry, and as COO at Lucid Design Group, a company that pioneered real-time energy monitoring. In addition, Gerwe was VP of Marketing at People Power, a cloud-based energy management platform.
Gerwe's large enterprise experience includes a corporate partnerships leadership role at Yahoo!, where she managed marketing relationships with key partners, including PayPal, AT&T, Verizon, Rogers Cable and American Express, and helped grow the Yahoo! Broadband business from one million subscribers to more than 10 million and increase revenue from $50 million to $200 million in just three years.
Prior roles include a VP of Marketing position with AOL's small-business segment, where Gerwe managed marketing to five million AOL subscribers, and several key positions within Netscape, including Director of Strategic Planning and acting VP of International Marketing, where she led the company's international website expansion. Gerwe has a BA and MBA from Stanford University.
