BOSTON, Oct. 22, 2013 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Simmons College is ranked as one of the best values among private universities in the country, according to the business and personal finance publication Kiplinger's Personal Finance, which recently released its 2014 ranking of 100 private universities and 100 liberal arts colleges.
Simmons's ranking among the nation's top 100 private colleges is based on measures of academic quality and affordability. The academic criteria include student admission rate, test scores of incoming freshmen, the ratio of students to faculty members, and the four- and five-year graduation rates.
Kiplinger's ranking is the latest of several prominent organizations to recognize Simmons for its academic excellence this year. USNews & World Report named Simmons among the nation's "Best Colleges" in its 2014 edition of the "America's Best Colleges" guidebook. The Princeton Review featured Simmons in its 2014 guidebook of the nation's "Best 378 Colleges" — a distinction shared by only 15 percent of the 4,000 four-year colleges; and Forbes named Simmons among "America's 650 Top Colleges" in 2013.
Mostly recently, the Simmons College School of Management has been ranked the #1 MBA with the "Greatest Opportunity for Women" by The Princeton Review, as part of its 2014 "The Best 295 Business Schools" guidebook.
