Simple Sheets™ Launches a Hassle-Free Way for College Students to Change their Bed Sheets
New Dorm Bedding Provides Simplicity for Students
ATLANTA, Aug. 27, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Simple Sheets is changing the way college students (and their mothers) think about dorm-room chores. Founded by a college student and conscientious mother, Geoff Rowson and Debbie Schultz, Simple Sheets makes changing the bed hassle-free.
"I'm thankful to have slept on Simple Sheets in college," said Rowson. "Simple Sheets' brilliant design makes changing the bed a breeze. Plus, they're the softest sheets I've ever slept on."
According to a 2014 survey by Ergoflex®, college students only change their sheets three times a year. For some, it's because they're lazy. For others, the bed's height and position along a wall make changing the bed quite challenging. For both, Simple Sheets make college life cleaner and easier.
Simple Sheets feature a uniquely designed, two-piece fitted sheet, which includes a base fitted sheet and a Strip Sheet™. The Strip Sheet is connected to the base fitted sheet by Velcro® and can be easily removed for washing. Each set also includes a convenient side pocket - perfect for storing a cell phone or remote at arms' reach.
Simple Sheets are available in Twin XL, the most common dorm room mattress size. Simple Sheets are also available in a deep version that accommodates a 2" mattress topper.
A five piece Basic set ($59.99) includes a base fitted sheet, Strip Sheet, storage pocket, flat sheet, and pillowcase. A nine piece Uber set ($89.99) includes two of each component but only one base fitted sheet.
Simple Sheets are hand-sewn in the USA and are available now at simple-sheets.com.
About Simple Sheets
Simple Sheets is based in Atlanta, GA and was founded by Debbie Schultz and her son, Geoff Rowson. Rowson played football in college, and when his mother visited for games, she noticed week after week that he never changed his sheets. At the end of the semester, she was shocked to see the outline of his body on his beige fitted sheet. He complained that the lofted bunk bed made it virtually impossible to change the sheets. Rather than tussle with his bed sheets, Rowson slept in filth all year. Through further discussions and observation, they realized he was not the only college student facing this dilemma. So they came up with a way to make changing a bed simple. Rowson and his roommate were soon sleeping on Simple Sheets prototypes. With all of the challenges that college presented, they were grateful to have one task – changing their bed sheets – made drastically easier.
Now, Simple Sheets is doing the same for college students everywhere.
