Sionix Corporation Announces Shipment of Mobile Water Treatment System

SANTA MONICA, Calif., Sept. 24 /PRNewswire/ -- Sionix Corporation (OTC Bulletin Board: SINX) Chairman & CEO James R. Currier and President & CFO David R. Wells today issued the following statement:

We are proud to announce that the Mobile Water Treatment System (MWTS) for Wenning Poultry in Ft. Recovery, Ohio, has shipped from our fabrication facility after undergoing a rigorous protocol of pre-shipment wet testing of all elements of the system without failure.  From "buck to door" this MWTS took approximately 5 weeks to fabricate, assemble, and ship.  Prior products for the Villa Park Dam and Arkansas projects took up to 9 months to fabricate and assemble.  The development period from the time our engineering partner, Pacific Advanced Civil Engineering, Inc. (PACE) received engineering data from our prior projects and our first sketches outlining our required modifications and improvements involved a short two months, followed by a one month period of sourcing and specifying suitable materials and vendors.  Considering the complete re-engineering undertaken on this project and the "start from scratch" material sourcing and vendor selection, this timeline has been a remarkable achievement.

Complicate the re-engineering, material sourcing, and vendor selection with training and educating a new fabrication and assembly source impaired by incomplete drawing packages and then layer on the application engineering task of designing a water treatment system to work in collaboration with an advanced anaerobic bio-digestion system installed in a severe biologically contaminated working environment, the Company's accomplishment speaks extremely well for all of our staff, partners, and vendors alike.

Our next step involves installation of the MWTS onsite in a 200' x 400' manure barn.  Upon arrival a rigger will remove the two standard 40' ISO shipping containers from the flatbed carriers to their fixed position, laser level and permanently secure the containers so they are plumb and level on a concrete slab of uneven dimensions.  An Air Stripper for nitrogen removal will also be installed by the rigging crew.  Local electricians will connect the MWTS to a dedicated power supply, and local plumbers will connect the influent stream with the Wenning de-watering device, install the inter-container flexible hose with quick disconnect couplings to our DAF and Filter containers, and then connect the treated effluent stream back to the bio-digester mixing tank where our closed loop system will be terminated.  During the course of this work by local electricians and plumbers, our installation crew will charge our filter units with gravel, sand and carbon media and install a separate sparging unit on the mixing tank for the bio-digester.  

Once power has been connected and the plumbing terminated, we will commence start-up operations by pumping contaminated centrate from the Wenning de-watering device into our DAF, introducing our proprietary "miracle bubbles" to float out the organic contaminates followed by treatment of inorganic contaminants in our media and carbon filters.  Adjustments to bubble formation, coagulation, flocculation, and chemical treatment conditions will be carefully tested and monitored during this process so that the MWTS is strictly tuned into the operating conditions at the Wenning farm.  Concurrent with this "testing and tuning" activity, our partner, Perc Water Corporation (Perc) will complete our onsite programming and simultaneously begin training and instruction of the Wenning operators.  

The Wenning MWTS will be equipped with a telemetry system that will allow remote access to real time operating data that Sionix will be able to display on any terminal with Internet access for purposes of demonstrating the efficacy of the Sionix MWTS.  Separate icons will also be installed on our PDA telephones so that all data transmitted throughout the MWTS operations are readily available on our telephones.  Management believes accessing this real time operational data will be one of our most effective sales tools.

After installation, start-up, commissioning, training and acceptance testing has concluded, the Sionix MWTS will treat make-up water for the Wenning bio-digester, removing inhibiting contaminants that impair both the productivity and health of methane producing bacteria.  Methane produced from the Wenning operation powers the entire egg production facility of 600,000 laying hens and 300,000 pullets in addition to supplying inexpensive, renewable green energy to 850 homes in the nearby community.
