(SoCalGas) has earned the top customer satisfaction ranking among large natural gas utilities in the Western United States, according to the J.D. Power and Associates 2012 Gas Utility Residential Customer Satisfaction Study(SM) .
The study, which was fielded between September 2011 and July 2012, is based on a random survey of U.S. residential natural gas utility customers.

In the study, SoCalGas received a customer-satisfaction score of 678, the highest score among the 9 large utilities ranked in the western region and third in the United States. The scores for each utility are based on six factors: billing and payment; price; corporate citizenship; communications; customer service; and field service.
