"The module introduces an easy, fast, and secure method to help applicants and certificants navigate the process in half the time," said SMRPCO Chair Larry Hoing, CMRP. "During times when certification is crucial to job stability in the M&R industry, it is important to discover convenient and efficient ways to support users."

New features of the module for applicants includes: A simple online application to sign up for an exam or recertification; payment through a secure online system; and immediate confirmation and receipts after submission.

Over the next two months, more features will be developed and added to the online certification module to benefit users. Future features in the module will allow each applicant to have an online profile with the ability to view his or her certification record and update contact information.
