Sodexo and Celebrity Chef Tim Love Bring New Meaning to 'Game' Day Dining at Texas Christian University Venues
New Partnership Creates an Exciting New Culinary Experience for Fans and Event-Goers
GAITHERSBURG, Md., Sept. 18, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Quality of Daily Life Solutions provider Sodexo has contracted with Texas Christian University (TCU) in Fort Worth, TX to run its concessions and catering operations at all campus sports venues, including Amon G. Carter Stadium and Daniel-Meyer Coliseum. In order to help create a truly memorable experience for Horned Frog fans, Sodexo has formed a partnership with Fort Worth-based celebrity chef and restaurateur Tim Love to bring his unique culinary vision to these on-campus venues.
Love has earned critical and popular acclaim in both the Dallas/Fort Worth region and nationally for his freewheeling personality and his signature urban western cuisine. Love is best known for his mastery of wild game and traditional proteins and this adventurous spirit will be reflected in the dishes Sodexo serves at TCU events.
Under this partnership, fans will be able to enjoy Chef Love's signature dishes like his famous Woodshed beef ribs, Mexican corn on the cob, a burger he created specifically for TCU and a showcase sausage of the day in suites and general concession areas throughout TCU venues.
"I'm truly excited to be partnering with Sodexo and TCU, it really gives new meaning to the term dream team," said Chef Love. "I'm particularly excited to have this opportunity to work right here in Fort Worth for the team and university I've supported for years."
The TCU venue partnership is an extension of Sodexo's previous work on campus. The company, which also runs TCU's campus dining program, launched The Big Purple Truck at the start of the new school year. The Big Purple Truck, which is Chef Love's first food truck venture, is a restaurant on wheels bringing the chef's twist on fast casual dining to students at various locations around campus. TCU students are able to use Campus Cash and Frog Bucks to pay for meal purchases at the truck.
"We are incredibly excited to partner with Chef Love. His distinctive take on stadium dining will really elevate the entire TCU fan experience," said Tom Post, president of Sodexo Education-Campus. "Just as Horned Frogs fans are passionate about the Purple and White, Sodexo and Tim Love are passionate about using our combined culinary expertise to make every TCU sporting event a memorable dining experience."
