Sol Trujillo, Who Has Led Large-Cap Media, Technology And Communications Companies In The US, EU And Asia/Pac, Will Guest-Host Bloomberg TV's "In The Loop" Thursday January 9
NEW YORK, Jan. 8, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Sol Trujillo, one of the world's leading authorities on managing major media, technology and communications corporations, will join the regular hosts of Bloomberg TV's "In the Loop" from 8-9 a.m. EST on January 9 to help the influential program analyze the major business and economic events and issues of the day.
Trujillo, former CEO of three publicly traded telecom companies -- US West in America, Orange in Europe, the UK, the Middle East and Africa, and Telstra in Australia, New Zealand and other Asia/Pac markets -- will join the program's regular hosts, Adam Johnson, Michael McKee and Stephanie Ruhle. They will interview T-Mobile CEO John Legere from the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas and discuss current consumer and market trends revealed at CES. The fierce competition in the wireless industry and Aereo's disruption of broadcast TV will be examined, as well as the changing dynamics of the cable industry in the US, including unbundling, cord-cutting and M&A.
The outlook for corporate earnings, economic expansion and job growth also will be examined by Trujillo and the other Bloomberg co-hosts.
Trujillo currently sits on corporate boards in the US, EU and China, including Target, Western Union and WPP. He is chairman of Silk Road Technologies of China and vice-chairman of ProAmerica Bank in Los Angeles. He has managed operations in more than 30 countries, including emerging markets in China, South Asia, Africa and the Middle East.
