Solix, Inc. Wins Two State Contract Renewals to Administer Universal Service Funds

Web-based Services Platform & Quick Implementation of Regulatory Changes Help Achieve Greater Efficiency & Results

PARSIPPANY, N.J., Sept. 14, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Solix, Inc., the leader in Qualification Process Outsourcing (QPO) for government and commercial customers, today announced two states have awarded renewals to continue administering their Universal Service Funds (USFs), which ensure that all residents have access to affordable basic phone service.

Both contracts are for five years and were won through RFP processes during which Solix's previous strong performance and quality service, along with its QPO expertise in managing USFs, helped it to stand out among the competition. Among the duties Solix will perform:

  • Calculating the required annual assessment rate for program funding
  • Collecting funds from required contributors
  • Processing payments
  • Tracking and reporting on fund balances
  • Generating managerial and oversight reports

The programs will also be supported by Solix's web-based platform. Specifically designed for USF customers, the platform will streamline reporting, enable electronic data submission, and provide 24/7 access to program data and reports.  New service providers participating in the programs can be quickly integrated into the system and Solix will inform the USFs about any regulatory changes and incorporate them into the process.

Solix QPO includes a comprehensive suite of services that offer the expertise and end-to-end technology and process management required to determine an applicant's eligibility for participation in a program.
