The testing, designed to accelerate the deployment of virtualized networks, marks the first public multi-vendor interoperability test of NFVI solutions with VNFs to be organized, planned, managed and executed by an independent third party. Sonus demonstrated integration with Juniper Networks Contrail Networking, showcasing package onboarding and deletion, VNF instantiation and forceful and graceful termination.
Sonus was the only vendor that brought its own VNFM to the testing, demonstrating its flexibility by providing an additional option to manage and complete the instantiation and configuration of a virtual SBC.
