South Florida's Alexander Hannett Takes Home Platinum, Gold from 2015 MarCom Awards
MIAMI LAKES, Fla., Nov. 10, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Marketing consultant Alexander Hannett, one of South Florida's 2014 40 Under 40 nominees has beat out professionals from some of the world's top marketing and advertising agencies and media conglomerates to win one Platinum and three Gold 2015 MarCom Awards.
With around 6,000 nominees annually, the MarCom Awards are the world's largest creative competition for marketing and communication professionals. For a guy like Hannett, who came to South Florida in 2012 with no money, no job, and nowhere to stay and spent the next three years working diligently on marketing projects throughout the area, winning the industry's top awards is an affirmation of his life's work.
"I am thrilled to stand alongside the top marketing professionals in the world as a MarCom Award winner," Hannett stated. "I want to use creativity as a catalyst to inspire the world, and the 2015 MarCom Awards are the first step on that path."
Hannett won the Platinum MarCom Award for Corporate Brand Design (Logo) with the logo he created for Case Construction Group, a South Florida builder of luxury estate homes. He won a Gold MarCom Award for his work to develop a website layout for All Florida Paper, an Inc. 5000 company specializing in the distribution of disposable packaging, janitorial and sanitation products to customers in 25 countries. Hannett won his second Gold Award for his work with Patrick Albán, founder of the Sport Psychology Movement Institute, LLC, to develop a social network on LinkedIn for the Institute. With nearly 10,000 members, the network has become the largest community of sport performance and sport science professionals on LinkedIn. Hannett's third Gold Award came for his work to develop the layout for All Florida Paper's employee intranet.
In addition to his Platinum and Gold MarCom Awards, Hannett earned five Honorable Mentions for radio advertisements, brand identity work, and product marketing advertisements.
Hannett has spent the last six years working in print design, writing, radio ad writing, press release writing, presentation development, sales, loyalty marketing, social media development, website layout development, and logo design for businesses ranging from start-ups and Inc. 5000 companies to Fortune 500 corporations. He sits on the Alumni Board of Directors of Barry University and serves as Chairperson of the Board's Scholarship Committee.
The 2015 MarCom Awards are not the only feathers in Hannett's cap. He was nationally recognized as the 2014 Marketing Professional of the Year (Bronze Stevie® Award Winner) from among 3,300 nominations at the 2014 American Business Awards, the premier business awards program in the U.S. The same year, Hannett was nominated as one of South Florida's 40 Under 40 and received the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce's 2014 HYPE® Miami Rookie of the Year award for being one of the area's most innovative and accomplished young professionals. Most recently, Hannett was included in the 2015 edition of Who's Who in America.
So what's next for Hannett? Only this: He plans to one day build his own creative agency focusing on providing services to underserved small businesses and individuals before going on to become the president and CEO of a major multi-national corporation providing creative services to business and individuals in order to better connect them to the world. Along the way, he hopes to create a foundation focusing on children with socially disabling disorders like attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADD/ADHD), dyslexia, and Tourette syndrome. One thing is sure: Alexander Hannett is one young marketing professional to watch.
