The T3 ESV provides significant advantages to public safety agencies including a strong command presence, visibility over crowds for the rider, a zero-degree turning radius, and a configuration that allows movement through crowds and tight spaces such as walkways and elevators.
In 2010, the South Korean Police Department used T3 ESVs for security patrol at the G20 Seoul Summit, which hosted world leaders, thousands of press, media, TV correspondents, and secret service detail from 20 countries. Following this successful trial period, the South Korean Police Department purchased ten T3 ESVs for ongoing use for security patrols at major events. The IAAF World Championships in Athletics represents the first major use of the vehicles since their purchase.
“This international deployment of our T3 Series vehicles is a testament to the value it provides security as a cost-effective and clean energy crowd control tool,” stated Ki Nam, CEO of T3 Motion. “The use of our T3 ESVs by the South Korean Police Department at one of the world’s premier sporting events is another success in our global strategy. Furthermore, the T3 Series, as a security tool, enables officers to increase patrol efficiency and allows them to cover three to four times more ground during their patrol.”
T3 ESVs are deployed in 30 countries worldwide and have been deployed for crowd control at many high-profile international events. In 2010, T3 ESVs were deployed as the environmentally-friendly patrol solution at the Tour De France in Paris, the World Cup in South Africa, and the G20 Summit in South Korea and will be used for security initiatives at the Singapore Grand Prix in September 2011.
