Southwest Greens International Announces Partnership With Classic Clay
CALHOUN, Ga., June 4, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Southwest Greens International along with parent company Shaw Industries, announced partnership with Classic Clay, the premier synthetic clay court manufacturer. Based out of Sydney, Australia Classic Clay is the first and only 'waterless' artificial clay tennis court surface.
"Southwest Greens has a strong list of clients who opt for premier tennis solutions as much as golf. We are able to provide golf greens to court service because of this partnership," said Kyle Ehman, President, Southwest Greens.
Clay courts are considered the classic surface for discriminating tennis players. Unlike asphalt courts waterless courts allow for year round playability, conserve water and require little maintenance. Classic Clay has worldwide presence and appreciates the strategic partnership.
Gary Waterford, CEO Classic Clay, met with the Southwest Greens team at their annual dealer meeting in Scottsdale, AZ to share the attributes and benefits of 'Waterless' clay courts. An Aussie through and through he developed the synthetic surface back in the 70's and has poured his life into developing a premier product. Traditional clay courts are difficult to maintain; Gary saw a solution in synthetic surfacing allowing courts to have a lifespan of 10-20 years. Classic Clay comes in French Clay or USA Green and can be seen from Dubai to Waikiki. Gary comments that France, home to the sport, boasts 500 courts alone.
