The Town of Windermere hosts the first annual Family Health Festival with over 50 exhibitors, health screenings, demonstrations, fitness activities, entertainment, door prizes and a scavenger hunt
WINDERMERE, Fla., Sept. 16, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Florida Hospital Winter Garden and Florida Hospital for Children present the first annual Family Health Festival, free to all residents of southwest Orlando and nearby neighborhoods and suburbs. A fun environment for every member of the family, including pets, with over 50 exhibitors, free health screenings, massages, demonstrations inside Town Hall, fitness activities around Town Square and activities for children including face painting. Plus door prizes, music, food, games and a scavenger hunt. Interactive mobile application will be available for a free public download providing sitemap, event schedule, sponsors and exhibitors' information.

A Walk and Talk for Diabetes event precedes the festival at 8:30 am, with a walk around the square, a healthy breakfast and a presentation in Town Hall. Registration is required.

The Family Health Festival is a not for profit community event for the residents of the southwest area of Orlando, including Windermere, Winter Garden, Ocoee, Oakland, and nearby neighborhoods such as MetroWest, Dr. Phillips and Celebration. The Family Health Festival is organized by the Windermere Downtown Business Committee and hosted by the Town of Windermere.
