SRG Global Receives Five Quality Excellence Awards from General Motors
WARREN, Mich., Sept. 30, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- SRG Global Inc., a Guardian Company, announced that five of its manufacturing facilities across three continents were awarded a Supplier Quality Excellence Award by General Motors.
"We believe that if a company has a strong and proactive culture focused on integrity and compliance, then quality follows," says SRG Global President and CEO Dave Prater. "We are pleased that our commitment to these areas has allowed us to deliver additional value to our customers and earn well-deserved recognition for our people."
Only eligible to top performing suppliers, awards are given to recognize an individual facility for consistently meeting or exceeding General Motors' strict quality performance standards during the 2013-2014 award year.
"Our definition of quality is doing the right thing when no one is looking," says Richard Todd, an SRG Global Quality Manager who was in town accepting an award on behalf of the company's Portageville, Mo. facility. "Quality isn't an add-on step. It is a continuous process that requires commitment from every person who walks through our plant doors. Without our people, the quality just wouldn't be there."
In addition to three North American facilities, Portageville, Mo., Newbern, Tenn., and Evansville, Ind., SRG Global's European facility in Lliria, Spain and Suzhou facility in Jiangsu Province, China were also honored with an award.
