SRI International Selects Jennifer Kenny as New Chief Information Officer

MENLO PARK, Calif., June 11, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- After an extensive search, SRI International has appointed Jennifer Kenny to the role of Chief Information Officer (CIO). Kenny has served as SRI's acting CIO since late 2011. In her new role, Kenny is responsible for information technology strategy and operations to drive IT-supported business innovation.

With 26 years of experience, Kenny brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to this key position, including technology strategy, strategic process design, and collaboration. Kenny has led numerous IT programs at Fortune 500 companies, with measurable and positive results. In addition, she has founded three profitable startup companies.

Prior to joining SRI, Kenny was founder and CEO of bizTH!NK, an IT consulting firm specializing in process design and IT business transformation. Previously, she served as a senior consultant at Accenture and Booz Allen . Earlier, she was an executive with Wells Fargo, where she led a process design initiative. Kenny has also served as head of global professional services at Cisco/WebEx.

Of note is her work at the University of California San Francisco, where Kenny led management through the prioritization and implementation of 150 different projects as part of a campus-wide operational excellence initiative.

Kenny holds a Masters in Engineering Geology from Imperial College, University of London, and an undergraduate degree in Geology and Chemistry from University College, Dublin.
