PHILADELPHIA, Aug. 31 /PRNewswire/ -- SRS Energy, a leading developer of building integrated photovoltaic (BIPV) products, announced today that Frederic Klaske has joined the company as Senior Director of Sales and Marketing.  In this strategic role, Klaske will lead the launch of SRS Energy's Sole Power Tile, the first curved solar roof tile designed for seamless integration with profiled clay roof systems.

SRS Energy completed multiple Sole Power Tile demonstration installations in 2009 before obtaining UL certification and CEC listing in June of this year.  In July, the Sole Power Tile was installed on Sunset Magazine's Dream Remodel in Los Gatos, California.  The product was also recently selected for Elle Decor's 2010 Showcase Home in San Francisco, California.  "We've experienced a tremendous response from the marketplace and are thrilled to have Klaske, a solar roofing veteran, leading our sales and marketing efforts," said JD Albert, CEO of SRS Energy.

Most recently, Klaske served as Solar Systems Division Manager for Fidelity Roof Company, where he led the efforts to transform a sixty year old company into a large-scale solar energy provider.  Prior to this, Klaske founded and grew Sky Power Systems to a $1.5M business in less than three years with no outside investment.  Klaske earned a Bachelor's in Biochemical Engineering from Yale University and a Masters in Business Administration from the UC Berkley School of Business.  

SRS Energy and Boral Roofing Products (formerly US Tile), the largest provider of superior clay and concrete tile roofing solutions in North America, have partnered to launch the Sole Power Tile system in California with a nationwide rollout of the product to follow.
