SRT Group Opens New Office in the Greater Washington, DC Area
Leader in satellite and Wi-Fi technologies establishes site closer to its government customers
ANNAPOLIS JUNCTION, Md., Jan. 22, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- SRT Group, which develops mission-critical satellite, Wi-Fi, and cellular technologies and services, has opened a new office in Annapolis Junction, Maryland—its first in the Washington, DC region. SRT serves customers in sectors ranging from commercial telecommunications and law enforcement to the U.S. government.
The new office marks a significant expansion for the Florida-based company, whose headcount has grown by more than 30 percent this year. With the addition of its newest location, SRT now has offices in Florida, Maryland, Texas and Dubai.
"This new office allows us to more easily serve our government and law enforcement customers," said Arthur Leite, Director, Government Operations Business Development. "Prior to this year we were entirely based in Davie, Florida. But as we continue to support key government communications needs, the DC region was an obvious next step."
The company's wireless division is leading the evolution of satellite communications and Wi-Fi technologies. It is the leading provider of Wi-Fi technology and training for law enforcement purposes, including access point and station discovery, surveillance, interception and targeting; and its products and services have supported mission-critical government applications for more than 15 years.
"The training aspect is key," noted John "JR" Russell, SRT Group's Chief Marketing Officer. "When government officials and law enforcement personnel test our products for themselves, they understand how we make their lives easier, and how well our devices compare to alternatives in the market – in size, weight, functionality and price."
The office houses nearly a dozen employees, including engineers with expertise in MSS L-band, 802.11 and 4G technology.
