SHELTON, Conn., May 17, 2016 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- SSI has been ranked as the 13th most innovative supplier in the market research industry according to the Greenbook Research Industry Trends annual report. Improving 31 spots since the 2015 GRIT report, SSI is the fastest-rising company on this year's list. Since 2010, GRIT has been tracking which firms are perceived as the most innovative by the global market research industry and compiling a list of rankings based on the survey feedback.
The Q1-Q2 2016 GRIT Report compiled these rankings based on survey responses from more than 5,600 marketing and insights professionals. The ranking is derived from a count of the total mentions in the first top-of-mind question. The full report will be published at the end of May showing the full GRIT 50.
According to Leonard Murphy, editor-in-chief of the Greenbook Blog and publisher of the GRIT Report, companies were seen as innovative by their use of methodologies/techniques and technology/tools. Only brands that received 15 or more mentions made it on the list of 634 companies. From that list, Greenbook narrowed it down to the top 50.
