The Vinoy's Executive Chef Mark Heimann and Pastry Chef Michael Morlan assisted 75 guests with decorating sugar and gingerbread cookies all in the beautiful surroundings of the resort's Grand Ballroom. The Vinoy chefs provided attendees with tips and special techniques on how to make their cookies special at home. The young and the young at heart enjoyed beverages, sweet treats and, of course, cookies during the 90-minute class.
St. Anthony's Hospital Foundation also invited Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Pinellas County to participate in the event. The Foundation paid for eight "little" brothers and sisters to attend with their Big Brothers and Big Sisters.
Proceeds from the event benefited the Susan Sheppard McGillicuddy Breast Center at St. Anthony's Hospital.
