Star Fantasy Leagues Launches Pay-To-Play Season Long Fantasy Sports Platform
ROCHESTER, N.Y., Aug. 11, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Star Fantasy Leagues today announced the launch of its new pay-to-play fantasy sports platform that allows individuals to enter real money fantasy sports contests to compete against each other in a traditional season long fantasy sports format.
This season long fantasy sports platform complements the suite of Star Fantasy Leagues daily and weekly fantasy sports games, and is available for the 2014-2015 fantasy football season. The platform will also provide season long competition for basketball, hockey, baseball, and other major sports.
"We're incredibly excited to launch the software we've been working on for the better part of a year," said SFL Chief Executive Officer, Zach Stanley. "The software we've built solves a lot of problems surrounding playing season long fantasy football leagues for real money, and we couldn't be more pleased to provide the solution so many fantasy sports fanatics – like myself – are looking for."
Star Fantasy Leagues' season long platform allows individuals to play sports like fantasy football for real money by simply entering a contest using funds in their Star Fantasy Leagues account. Game accounts can be funded via credit card, or by e-wallets like Paypal, Skrill, and Dwolla. Individuals can create custom leagues against their friends, or they can join other competitors from around the country to compete against other like-minded players. The funds are held until the end of the sporting season, and then paid out to competitors based on their finishing position when the league closes competition. This feature-packed platform allows individuals to legally engage in a game they love without the worry of an unknown fantasy league commissioner misappropriating league funds.
"Most people don't even know what daily fantasy sports are yet," said Seth Young, Chief Operating Officer at Star Fantasy Leagues. "The vast majority of the 41 million fantasy sports players in the USA play in traditional season long leagues. Our aim is to provide incredible technology that will not only provide the experience individuals are looking for out of a season long format, but also function as a great way to introduce fantasy sports fans to a new game style in daily and weekly format."
Pay-to-play leagues are available at StarFantasyLeagues.com for customers ages 18 and over in most US states, and free contests are also available for individuals to compete in.
"The season long technology we've built leaves no stone unturned," added Zach Stanley. "It has every feature you can think of, wrapped up in an easy to use interface. This is the ultimate platform built by fans, for fans."
