Starfire Systems Reaches Settlement Agreement in Lawsuit against Extreme Environment Materials Solutions, LLC (EEMS)
SCHENECTADY, N.Y., Jan. 3, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Starfire Systems, Inc. (www.starfiresystems.com), a leader in the field of Polymer-to-Ceramic technology, announced today that it has reached a settlement agreement in the trademark infringement and misappropriation of trade secrets lawsuit it filed against Extreme Environment Materials Solutions, LLC (EEMS), Herbert Armstrong and Walter J. Sherwood in August of 2011.
The lawsuit was filed to cease trademark infringement efforts on the part of EEMS, and Armstrong and Sherwood, both of whom are former Starfire employees. Additionally, the lawsuit aimed to prevent misappropriation of trade secrets, and unfair competition resulting from the wrongful use of Starfire's specialized technology.
