Statement of Abigail Fisher After Arguments in Fisher V. Univ. of Texas-Austin

WASHINGTON, Dec. 9, 2015 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The following is being released by The Project on Fair Representation:

Today, Abigail Fisher v. Univ. of Texas-Austin was heard by the U.S. Supreme Court.

After the arguments, Ms. Fisher said the following:

"I am very humbled and grateful the justices of the Supreme Court once again heard my case today. My family and I are deeply thankful that Mr. Rein and his associates have been willing to continue to represent me all these years."

Fisher added, "Like most Americans, I don't believe students should be treated differently because of their race."
