NEW YORK, Sept. 21, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- We commend New York State Department of Environmental Conservation Commissioner Joseph Martens and Governor Cuomo for launching a study of the health impacts of fracturing bedrock for gas. As the experts have shown, water supplies will inevitably be affected over time as the pipes for fracking leak and the concrete around the wells crack, releasing toxic chemicals and methane into the water and air.
