Faithful+Gould President and Managing Director Reza Amirkhalili said, "Our team was incredibly committed to the project, with our Project Managers working in Greece for the duration of the project. This unique and iconic center is both beautiful and environmentally friendly, and we are incredibly proud to have contributed."
The SNFCC is comprised of the Greek National Opera, the National Library of Greece and Stavros Niarchos Park. Construction was completed in August 2016, with final close out scheduled for December 2016. The center is a stunning display of Greek culture, poised to become a landmark attraction.
The award was presented at the ENR Global Best Projects Award dinner on October 11, 2016, in New York City.
Faithful+Gould Senior Director Martin Hirko, who led the project while working in Greece since 2008, said, "As the eight years of my involvement and commitment are coming to an end, I have a strong sense of pride in seeing the final product. A uniquely talented team worked together with the Stavros Niarchos Foundation to realize this magnificent vision and present a significant gift to the people of Greece."
